Dental Faculty Resources Overview

AAAI-D Dental Faculty Teaching Modules

Our educational modules are designed to help the dental community understand the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence in dentistry. They cover foundational principles, clinical reasoning, patient safety, evaluation of AI claims, and future directions in research and care. This material can be easily exported to PowerPoint or handouts as needed.

While these materials are part of AAAI-D’s core educational mission, full access is restricted to Dental Faculty Members because the content requires interpretation by individuals with advanced background in dental education, clinical decision-making, and evidence appraisal. This is not an upgrade level—simply a distinct membership category for educators.

Why Access Is Limited to Dental Faculty Members

  • These modules require advanced understanding of clinical concepts and evidence-based teaching.
  • Interpretive accuracy matters when discussing AI limitations, bias, and safety considerations.
  • Without guidance, learners may misunderstand nuances and contextual information needed for interpretation and understanding.
  • The modules are structured teaching tools meant to be accompanied by educator framing.

Why Dental Faculty Are Central to Our Mission

Dental faculty are the heart of AAAI-D’s public-centric mission which aims to empower the profession with AI knowledge. The dental educators shape how the next generation understands, evaluates, and safely adopts AI in dentistry for the benefit of public.

Because of this central role, the Dental Faculty membership fee is intentionally set lower than most other categories (except students/trainees) to support their teaching contributions. AAAI-D appreciates donations to continually improve and update these materials.
