AAAI-D was founded to ensure artificial intelligence in dentistry serves the public good — through education, collaboration, and responsible innovation.

Membership

AAAI-D membership connects professionals, educators, and innovators dedicated to advancing responsible AI in dentistry.

Membership in the Academy is open to individuals and organizations who support its mission to advance education of AI in Dentistry, both public and professional understanding of the ethical, evidence-informed use of artificial intelligence in dentistry.

Membership dues may be tax-deductible in part, to the extent permitted by law, as a portion reflects the value of member benefits. Benefits support the Academy’s educational and charitable purposes and do not confer any private or commercial advantage.

Certain online content and programs may be available only to members to support professional learning and collaboration.

Eligibility

To qualify for membership, applicants must:

  • support the Academy’s nonprofit educational mission
  • have an interest in dental AI, oral healthcare, academic research, or related fields
  • agree to the Academy’s standards of impartiality and public-benefit purpose
  • acknowledge that membership does not imply endorsement of any product or company

Membership Categories

Regular Member

For U.S.-based dentists holding a dental degree and supporting the Academy’s mission.

International Member

For dental professionals residing outside the United States who wish to participate in the Academy’s educational and collaborative activities.

Dental Faculty Member

For full-time or part-time faculty at dental schools or academic institutions, U.S. or international, with reduced inaugural-year dues.

Student / Resident Member (U.S. & International)

For individuals enrolled in accredited dental, dental hygiene, dental assisting, or dental laboratory technology schools or colleges, as well as students in residency, postgraduate, or graduate programs. May participate in committees.

Allied Dental & Professional Member

For dental hygienists, assistants, lab technicians, educators, researchers, and other professionals aligned with the Academy’s mission.

Lifetime Member

For individuals eligible for Regular Membership who choose a one-time dues payment.

Corporate Member

For companies and organizations supporting the Academy’s educational mission; represented by a designated delegate.

Institutional Member

For universities, hospitals, research centers, government groups, and public institutions; represented by an institutional delegate.

Public Members

By invitation.

These titles apply across all categories and do not create separate classes of membership.

Founding Members — 2026
Honorary designation recognizing inaugural-year membership, for first 500 Members.

Founding Student Member — 2026
Given to students and residents who join during the inaugural year; carries the same rights as Student Members.
